I have 2 bad experiences now with LG products. First was TV, lasted 15 months and started getting lines on screen. Second, bought a Washer/Dryer set because consumer reports rated high. WRONG! Dryers main control board went in less than 2 yrs and I paid a company (prior LG employee) to come look at it. After $65 service call fee, I found it was going to cost over $450+ to fix it. The dryer cost $999.1/2 the cost of purchase to repair for a dryer less than 2 yrs! Customer service is non-existent! You can't get a customer service rep in the US to take escalate your call after 5 weeks of trying, IM DONE WITH LG PRODUCTS AND IF YOU VALUE YOUR PRODUCTS, YOU WILL BE TOO!

I purchased a washer/dryer combo during their Memorial Day sale. They delivered it damaged, and when we called to get it replaced their customer service ran us around for 4 HOURS refusing to allow us to speak to a supervisor, only offering a refund vs. a replacement. The item is now on their site for $700 more than I paid. I asked them to either replace the item, give us the refund + a $700 credit, OR re-order it for us for the price I paid. We spoke to 7 different customer support people who ALL refused to help, and all who said they have no way to get us to a supervisor who could help. First they said they couldn't transfer us. Then, they said we needed to speak with lg.com. THEN they said we need to speak with lg.com sales. Every time, they transferred us to the WRONG department and then said that they couldn't give us the phone number of someone who could help. I now have no washer/dryer, no refund, and if I want to have one I have to spend an additional $700 to fix their mistake. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE experienced more incompetent customer service.
We ordered a microwave from LG Electronics and they filled the order via Costco. We paid extra for installation but the guys who delivered our microwave said they do not do installation nor do they know how to do it. They said we would have to call LG and arrange for installers to come out. We did and they informed us that someone would be in touch with us in the next day or two to arrange an installer to come out. Three times we called and received this response, not once did anyone ever reach out to us to arrange instillation. Finally, I tried going through Costco and they referred me to their LG contact who put me on hold for about 30 minutes and then hung up on me. They never installed the microwave and we never got a refund for the money we paid to get it installed. This all has been a major dissatisfier.
I live in Mantua Italy and bought an LG double door/ice dispenser. Not cheap. After the two years warranty expired the fridge started to malfunction, i.e.: not keeping up the ice and melting therefore spoiling everything in the freezer. Got LG technician from Castelnuovo twice, and the guy didn't even know what he was talking about and gave nonsense advises which turned out to be more damaging than fixing the problem.
If I could give 0, zero stars to LG I would. Stay out of the brand. I have to change my fridge after 7 years as it does not freeze and I am not going to spend another 80 Euros for a non-competent LG technician again and will NOT buy ever an LG product.

My LG washing machine has stopped working so I followed their troubleshoot and called them to get further help. I had the 10 year warranty for the part I needed and so I asked them to send it over so I can get it fixed by my local technician that worked with before. He has been a great help and I wanted to support my local businesses. LG support initially pushed their own technicians, but when I told them I wanted to use my local technician, they made me go through this whole process of getting all my technicians info to send him a "Letter of Authorization (LOA)" so he can order the parts because I, being the owner of the machine, am not allowed to order the part which I am in warranty for.
After going through that whole process, five days later my technician still hadn't receive the email with this LOA. At this point he called the support line where they LG representative began to tell him that it takes 3 to 5 days to receive the letter, but stopped herself when he mentioned that it had already been 5 days. At this point she stuttered and then stated that it will take 7 to 10 days because she was initially reading the wrong info. My technician asked how a customer who's washing machine is not working supposed to wait 7 to 10 days just to receive a letter, then order the part that could take another couple of weeks and then hopefully get their machine working a month later. Her only reply was that this is the process that is required.
It has now been a month and he still has not received this LOA even though he confirmed during his call that the email address they had on file was correct. Fortunately, my technician is resourceful and got the part himself and got my machine working. One of the reasons I like his guy. So thank you LG for all the lack of support and wasting my time while leaving my family with a broken down LG product.
Don't waste your time with this company.

If I could, LG would get no stars. I bought 2 products 4 years ago and both have been replaced. The microwave broke in an hour and LG would not give me another. They sent their repairman who replaced every thing in the oven and it lasted a noisy 4 years. I bought a stove and the cooktop immediately pitted. Then within 2 weeks the cooktop chipped. Again, nothing was done. I tried to go through the store I bought them at, and they would not stand by the product because LG is so bad. Then why do you carry it? I have since replaced the microwave with GE and the stove with Samsung. So much nicer! I will never buy another LG product and I tell anyone I meet not to waste their money. I wish I had read these comments before my purchase.
I thought I would received superior customer service from LG directly so ordered a washer and dryer and 2 pedastals from them. I have been on the phone for 3 days a total of 7 hours plus also many internet chat sessions to try and get the electric dryer switched to a gas dryer before it ships out. No one there is competent not even the supervisors. NO ONE there can help me. So far today I have been on the phone 2 hours and 36 minutes and have spoken to 6 or 7 people and have been transferred each time with them saying they can't help me in that department. I have also sent 2 emails which have gone unanswered. I am starting to think this is a strategy of theirs to delay fixing the problem until its too late and the electric dryer gets shipped out and now i am stuck with an item i can't use and will have to spend more money buying a gas one. I HATE this company and I am sorry i ever bought from LG direct.
Purchased a LG machine for it to be faulty from day one, it had a vibration sensor issue so was extremely noisy. As it was our first LG we didn't know it was faulty for about 6 weeks when we had a repair guy over for our dryer and he told us to get it checked. LG refuse to exchange it and only repair it, so we basically paid $1400 for a faulty machine, who knows what other stress got put on the machine from the vibration as it was insanely loud and moved around! Won't buy off Lg or Smiths City again who also refuse to step up.
Now I have a broken fridge. With scratches. Instead of a new one. Thanks for nothing. My old fridge worked better and it was 40 yes old

I bought a LG dishwasher and had it delivered and installed. After 13 days, it’s broken down with an ‘AE’ error code! I called LG customer service1.888.542.2623, they kept on asking to call back cause they have a computer system issue! First time, asked me to call back in an hour and asked us to turn off the circuit and reset the dishwasher. We did, AE error code still on! Called back second time, asked us to call back in two hours and asked us again to turn off the dishwasher and turn back on again! Called back in two hours now she told me to call back for another hour, I told her this is my third call, she told me to open the dishwasher door for 24 hours and AE error code will be off and run an empty load and it should be fine! Nobody wants to be taking my call and call me back! I just called back for the fourth time after two hours, the girl on the other end asked me to call back for an hour! ????
This Company is to cry.
I bought one of the most expensive TV from LG a few years ago and they can not supply 4 screws in the Netherlands and they do not have a solution while the screws are available in USA, UK and Asia.
customer service is really worse than bad.
